DevOps Engineer

As our team is expanding, we are looking to hire a DevOps engineer.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Administration of Linux servers (virtual / physical):

·        Administration of internal services (Gitlab, Airflow, Superset, Kafka, Redis);

·        Database Administration (Clickhouse, Postgres);

·        Design and implement efficient, scalable data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources using Python, with an option to use Golang, Rust, or Scala;

·        Develop, construct, test and maintain architectures, such as databases and large-scale data processing systems;

·        Ensure data accuracy and integrity through high-quality coding and testing procedures;

·        Collaborate with quantitative analysts to understand and implement database requirements;

·        Design and implement data tools for analytics and data scientist team members to assist them in building and optimizing our product;

·        Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems;

·        Continuously evaluate new technologies to improve and extend the platform capabilities;

·        Setting up and monitoring backups.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

·        BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject;

·        Prior experience as a DevOps or in a similar position;

·        Solid experience in Linux administration, writing bash scripts;

·        Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.;

·        Knowledge of DB administration (PostgreSQL, Clickhouse), SQL;

·        Strong proficiency with Python; experience with Golang, Rust, or Scala a plus;

·        Experience with docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, cloud providers;

·        Understanding of CI/CD principles and release management;

·        Willingness to travel for business;

·        Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks;

·        Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues;

·        Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure;

·        Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
