Accounts Officer role in Limassol, Cyprus, for a well-reputable marine management company, requiring a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for several entities.
  • Assistance with income tax and VAT reporting/compliance process.
  • Liaison with external auditors for explanations/support.
  • Support for annual consolidation process and standalone financial statements preparation.
  • Strengthening of internal controls and procedures, and efficiency within the department.
  • Preparation of management reports (financial, cash flows, budgets).
  • Supervision, training, and reviewing of accounting personnel.
  • Dynamic knowledge of Excel and ability to collate data and prepare reports/exhibits/charts.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for ad hoc report preparation and routine reporting.
  • Stay up to date with current IFRS and tax developments.
Candidate Profile:
  • BSc Accounting/Finance degree.
  • ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification.
  • Familiarity with Cyprus taxation.
  • Master's degree in business or finance (advantageous).
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience with a Big-4 audit firm (advantageous).
  • Additional experience in multinational corporations, investment banking, shipping industry (advantageous).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and produce accurate work.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS required.
  • Experience with ERP, Business Intelligence, and Consolidation systems (advantageous).
