ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior Financial Accountant, reporting to the Director of Operations. You will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, financial record-keeping, preparing financial reports, and assisting with audits. You will have the opportunity to make tasks your own and assume responsibility. The role is based in Larnaca, with flexibility for remote work.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of bookkeeping and accounting records
  • Process and administer the company payroll and social insurance contributions
  • Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Manage the payment of expenses, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement
  • Reconcile payments received from the servicer, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of loan funding requests
  • Ensure all loan funding activities comply with company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely disbursement of loan funds
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Support the finance team in audits and other financial reviews
  • Provide general support to the finance team as needed
  • Participate in financial planning and analysis activities
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and procedures

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field
  • Highly proficient in English
  • Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within the financial services industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
