Chief Risk Management Strategist

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Chief Risk Management Strategist to lead our risk management activities in Cyprus.

As a senior leader, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organisation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing our risk culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework that aligns with our strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Identify, assess, and monitor key risks facing the organization, including credit, operational, market, and compliance risks.

Lead the risk assessment process, including the evaluation of new products, services, and business initiatives.

Provide risk insights and recommendations to senior management and the board, contributing to informed decision-making processes.

Establish and maintain effective risk reporting mechanisms to communicate risk exposures and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.

Foster a strong risk culture within the organization, promoting awareness and understanding of risk management practices among staff.

Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in risk management to enhance our risk framework.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a relevant professional qualification (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) is preferred.

Extensive experience (8+ years) in risk management within the financial services sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable risk management strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong leadership skills, with a focus on developing and mentoring team members.
