FP Markets Group of Companies is a well-established globally regulated Australian broker offering traders access to CFDs across Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies. We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-Time DevOps Engineer to join our distributed IT team - a certified Great Place to Work.

This is a hands-on role involving infrastructure automation, system monitoring, CI/CD pipeline management, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams. You will play a key role in maintaining and evolving our DevOps infrastructure to ensure high performance, security, scalability, and continuous delivery of our fintech solutions.

Reporting to: CTO

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure solutions
  • Monitor and optimize systems performance and availability across multiple environments
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using modern CI/CD tools
  • Collaborate with software engineers to streamline development workflows and deployment pipelines
  • Ensure security best practices, backups, and disaster recovery strategies are in place and tested
  • Maintain documentation and operational runbooks for infrastructure, processes, and system changes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues quickly and effectively
  • Manage user access, system updates, and software version upgrades
  • Generate reports on infrastructure performance and incidents

Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, System Administrator, or Infrastructure Engineer role
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong experience with Linux (especially Ubuntu) and Windows server administration
  • Experience with virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)
  • Familiarity with AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and Hetzner
  • Proficient in Bash and Python scripting; basic PowerShell knowledge
  • Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
  • Experience with Docker, Podman, LXC containers
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines)
  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, monitoring)
  • Solid knowledge of identity management and tools like Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365

Nice to Have:

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Experience with Keycloak, Vault, Make, RabbitMQ
  • Experience with backup and monitoring tools (Veeam, Manage Engine, Crowdstrike)
  • Familiarity with PHP/Laravel environments
  • AWS System Manager knowledge
