A forward-thinking Fintech enterprise leading the charge in revolutionizing payment practices is actively seeking a Legal Advisor to join our Legal Team. Our company stands as a pioneer in developing cutting-edge solutions and products that empower both individuals and enterprises, fostering seamless digital financial journeys.

As a Legal Advisor, your pivotal role is to oversee the company&ss legal affairs and provide essential guidance to ensure legal compliance while contributing to the company&ss global success. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of crucial tasks, including reviewing, negotiating, and crafting various contracts, meticulously managing essential documentation, and conducting due diligence. You will also address diverse legal matters, spanning trademarks to labor law. Your position requires seamless collaboration with a multitude of stakeholders, including senior management, finance, sales, customer support, and the risk department. Furthermore, you will be entrusted with the management of the company&ss entities across numerous global jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistent legal support to our offices in Cyprus and international locations.
  • Skillfully draft, review, and negotiate agreements pertaining to payment services, encompassing merchant acquirer agreements, payment services partnership agreements with third parties, and PSP agreements.
  • Possess a broad spectrum of experience in commercial contracts, spanning partnership, vendor, and software agreements, as well as merchant, referral, and reseller agreements.
  • Provide valuable counsel, as required, on the development of policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Foster close collaboration with colleagues from diverse departments and geographic locations, actively participating in various projects.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a robust academic track record accompanied by 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience, gained either within a related industry or through practicing law with fintech clients.
  • Possess a valuable background in commercial and technology contracts, with proficiency in e-commerce and payments, and a keen understanding of data privacy considerations.
  • Passed Cyprus Bar Association exams
  • Bonus points for familiarity with Card Schemes, as it adds a valuable dimension to your expertise.
  • Experience in financial services regulatory matters is advantageous.
  • Exhibit the ability to effectively multitask and perform with minimal supervision.
  • Showcase exceptional time management skills to consistently meet critical deadlines.
  • Command proficiency in both written and verbal English, a fundamental asset in your role
