The Opportunity:

Due to significant business growth, we are excited to announce an opening for an Accountant position in Cyprus. This dynamic role is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy taking on diverse responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting and operational matters for the group, including foreign entities.
  • Prepare detailed management accounts and budgets.
  • Ensure accurate processing of accounts payable and supplier payments, including calculations, reviews, and Settlements.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly intercompany reconciliations.
  • Handle cash management tasks (bank payments and reconciliations).
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and planning for the company and group.
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions for systems and daily processes.
  • Investigate and resolve payment-related issues, providing support to clients with payment queries.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and assist with the annual audit process.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and filing of regulatory returns (VAT, income tax, SITs, and annual returns).

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • LCCI Higher in Accounting or equivalent diploma.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, or/and CAT qualification will be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a relevant position
  • Proficiency in both English and Greek (oral and written).
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing accounting functions for multiple locations in a multinational corporation or professional services firm.
  • Familiarity with SAP B1 would be beneficial.
