The Role

As a Reconciliation Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding client funds by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant management of client money

You'll operate at the intersection of finance, technology, and compliance, supporting our mission to deliver secure and transparent financial services to our customers. This is a hands-on analytical role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced fintech environment and enjoys improving processes through data, automation, and collaboration.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations, ensuring compliance with regulatory rules.
  • Accurately match internal ledgers to external bank statements and identify discrepancies promptly.

  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, escalating issues in line with CASS governance.

  • Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Engineering teams to ensure client money movements are accurately captured in system workflows.
  • Support the design and automation of reconciliation processes using fintech tools and data pipelines.
  • Assist in the preparation and validation of the Client Money Calculation and segregation process.
  • Contribute to the completion of CMAR (Client Money & Asset Return) submissions and internal reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing reconciliation evidence and control documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance, efficiency, and scalability.

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Experience within a controlled environment regarding reconciliations (fintech, payments, trading platform, or investment firm).
  • Good knowledge of reconciliation standards and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation).
  • Experience reconciling large data sets across multiple systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across finance, compliance, and tech teams.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and meet regulatory deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Experience with fintech reconciliation or automation tools
  • Understanding of digital payments flows,or platform client fund segregation.
  • Familiarity with FCA CASS Rules (not essential as training will be provided).
  • Experience working in a fast-scaling fintech or start-up environment.
