We are seeking to recruit a
Vetting Manager
to lead the Vetting Team and ensures that all vessels under management maintain the highest standards of compliance with relevant vetting standards and requirements as well as with internal company policies. The role is critical in supporting operational excellence and enhancing the company's reputation with various external and internal parties and stakeholders.

Key Qualifications:

  • Extensive and not less than 5 years, working experience in the maritime industry in the relevant shore-based position;
  • Sea going command or senior officer's experience on tankers or gas carriers;
  • Good knowledge of maritime international rules and regulations;
  • Good knowledge and practical experience of industry best practices, standards and programs such as OCIMF SIRE, CDI SIR and RightShip RISQ;
  • Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to lead a team;
  • Excellent command of the English language as well as writing skills.

Key Competencies:

  • Monitoring tankers, gas carries and dry cargo fleet vetting inspections, analysing vetting performance identifying trend and actions for improvement;
  • Dealing with various vetting responses, questionnaires and related vetting and screening matters;
  • Reviewing PIQ's, HVPQ's and Photographs for submission as required for SIRE;
  • Maintaining an up to date profile of the requirements of the customers, particularly the oil majors;
  • Providing such assistance to the Marine Manager as is required to ensure that the Vetting Team operates in an efficient and organised manner;
  • Controlling and organising the activities of the Vetting Team and communicating such activities to the Marine Manager;
  • Being adequately conversant with the Company's Management System;
  • Implementing effectively the Company's Management System;
  • Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
  • Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement;
  • Providing such assistance and advice to the Marine Superintendents as they require to complete their duties effectively and efficiently;
  • Fostering and maintaining an excellent working relationship with all entities of CSM Group, owners, customers and particularly the oil majors.
