Role Description

At this stage the role is
unpaid
, which makes it a great opportunity for students, recent graduates, or aspiring artists who want to:

  • Add a fully realized game character to their portfolio
  • Work side by side with an Art Director and a Technical Artist
  • Get real production experience inside a game development pipeline

Must-have skills


• Experience (basic is OK) in HighPoly and LowPoly character modeling


• Experience working with ZBrush, Blender/Maya/3ds Max, Substance Painter


• Understanding of topology and optimization for real-time


• Solid knowledge of anatomy and proportions, especially facial anatomy


• Skills in working with PBR textures and materials


• Passion for characters and character creation


• Ability to work with diverse materials (skin, cloth, metal, organics)


• Attention to detail (skin, fabrics, textures, accessories)

Nice-to-have


• Artistic vision and sense of form


• Background in fine arts


• Experience sculpting clothes and fabrics (draping, natural fit)


• Baking maps (normal, AO, curvature, etc.)


• Understanding of animation pipeline: topology, edge loops for rigging


• Experience with game-ready characters (not just renders)
