AUTOMATION ENGINEER

(AE 977721NI) NICOSIA

An Automation Engineer designs, develops, implements, and maintains automated

systems and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention in various

industries, from manufacturing to IT. Responsibilities include identifying automation

opportunities, writing code, creating system designs, integrating hardware and software,

conducting quality assurance testing, and monitoring system performance. They

collaborate with cross-functional teams, create documentation, and ensure the automated

systems align with business goals to increase productivity.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Development:Create and design automated systems, including

control systems, software, and hardware to automate specific tasks and processes.

Implementation & Integration:Implement new automated technologies and

integrate hardware (sensors, robots) and software components into existing

systems.

Programming & Coding:Develop and write code and scripts to control automated

processes, configure systems, and ensure seamless operation.

Testing & Quality Assurance:Design and execute tests to ensure automated

processes function as intended, identifying and resolving bugs and quality issues.

Monitoring & Maintenance:Continuously monitor the performance of automated

systems, perform maintenance, and implement upgrades to optimize efficiency.

Collaboration:Work with cross-functional teams, including clients, business units,

and other engineering departments, to understand requirements and develop

effective solutions.

Documentation:Create comprehensive documentation, including design guidelines

and operational manuals, to facilitate the manufacturing and implementation of

automated solutions.

Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to automate existing processes,

streamline workflows, and reduce reliance on manual intervention.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics,

Mechatronics, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, or a similar role.

Solid knowledge of PLC

Understanding of electrical schematics, control panels,

Proficiency in software tools

Familiarity with robotics, motion control, and sensor integration is a plus.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Good command of English; other languages are an asset.
