The Role

The Learning & Development Specialist exists to support the effective delivery and continuous improvement of learning programs, systems, and processes that support compliance, onboarding, and capability development. This role ensures L&D operations run efficiently and consistently across the business, while partnering with the Learning & Development Lead to meet regulatory, performance, and growth objectives. 

As our Learning & Development Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the delivery and continuous improvement of Pepperstone induction and other Pepperstone-created training.
  • Collaborate with the P&C Advisory team and business leaders to action training and understand L&D needs.
  • Create and coordinate engaging, accurate, and up-to-date learning content in alignment with priorities (company product releases, external changes, new company third party applications, and enhanced in-house procedures).
  • Develop, maintain and modify training resources (training manuals, guides, FAQs, etc.).
  • Act as a brand ambassador for L&D at Pepperstone, ensuring regular communications that reflect Pepperstone's priorities and values.
  • Maintain and improve Pepperstone's knowledge base, L&D systems, tools and general resources.
  • Support effective relationships with vendors and where appropriate, ensure trainings delivered by vendors are to agreed contract terms.
  • Assist in the management of pepperstone's LMS and the effective delivery of engaging, quality content to achieve L&D outcomes.
  • Assist departments with projects and initiatives as agreed with the Learning & Development Lead.
  • Document all internal L&D processes including the use of systems.
  • Action and coordinate all learning operations including scheduling, reporting, & vendor management.
  • Review L&D programs and initiatives with relevant information and feedback to continuously improve.
  • Proactively identify and initiate internal training improvements as identified, suggesting new ideas and ways to optimise and deliver training solutions that achieve intended outcomes.
  • Stay current with L&D research, methodologies, technology, and creative delivery strategies, partnering with Marketing as required.
  • Assist the Learning & Development Lead in executing Pepperstone's L&D strategy within budget.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks as required by the Learning & Development Lead and the wider People & Culture team.

About you

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in similar roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with problem solving and decision making ablities
  • Strong facilitation skills, ability to present information and tailor communication accordingly.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of global internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using different technologies and eager to learn and try new tools to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Ability to oversee effective execution of operations of L&D activities, systems, and initiatives.
  • Understands the link between L&D and business performance, delivering outcomes that support business goals.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (preferred).
