What are we looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Superintendent, who will be responsible for the efficient operation of the ships and for overseeing and coordinating the work of the Technical Superintendents. The Senior Technical Superintendent will ensure adherence to company procedures, best ship management practices, and the highest standards of safety and environmental protection.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Responsible for daily technical management of assigned vessel and for monitoring the performance and progress of the Technical Superintendents under their coordination.

· Plan, control and execute all activities connected with maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, conversion or modification of assigned vessels, ensuring consistency and best practices across the managed fleet.

· Ensure safety and environmental obligations is top priority in all vessel operations, along with timely and sufficient support to vessels on all operational and technical matters.

· Advise Masters/Chief Engineers, Ship Staff, Technical Superintendent and company management on all technical matters.

· Visit vessels to conduct shipboard technical inspections and prepare relevant reports.

· Provide timely and accurate reports to clients regarding the management, expenditure, and condition of the vessels.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant international, port state, and local maritime regulations and that all vessel certification and surveys for classification society, flag state, IMO and international requirements are maintained.

· Assist in coordinating, arranging and timely follow up Flag State Inspections, port state inspections, external and internal ISM, ISPS, MLC audits, as required.

· Engaged in operating budgets for assigned vessels, repair budgets and cost control, together with reporting.

· Implement and maintain a safe, cost efficient and environmentally sound operation standard in compliance with the Company's Quality Management System and ISO requirements and procedures.

· Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Technical Superintendents to support their development and ensure a high standard of technical management across the fleet.

Requirements:

· Relevant Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent, or a Chief Engineer's qualification

· Minimum 5 years' experience in ship management including prior service as a Technical Superintendent, preferably with tanker vessels.

· Good knowledge of Classification Rules and Statutory Regulations.

· Demonstrated ability to coordinate, supervise, and support Technical Superintendents and vessel staff.

· Ability to work independently, as well as communicate and collaborate well with teams ashore, as well as with crew.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Available to travel inland or abroad, as required for the performance of the above duties.

· Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
