Role Overview

The Transfer Pricing Team Leader manages and coordinates the delivery of transfer pricing engagements, providing technical guidance, mentoring team members and ensuring high-quality project execution. The role supports the Head of Transfer Pricing in client relationship management, business development initiatives and practice development, acting as a key leader within the TP team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate, reporting to the Head of Transfer Pricing, will:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation, including Local Files, benchmarking studies, and parts of the Master File.
  • Advise clients on transfer pricing policies, intercompany pricing, and operational structures, escalating complex matters to the Head of TP.
  • Conduct and supervise economic analyses and modelling (TNMM, CUP, profit split, financial transactions).
  • Support TP audits and controversy engagements, liaising with tax authorities under guidance from the Head of TP.
  • Mentor and guide Senior Consultants and Consultants on technical matters and project management.
  • Allocate resources and manage timelines and budgets for TP projects.
  • Contribute to development and documentation of internal methodologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other service lines to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Support the Head of TP in maintaining and growing client relationships.
  • Assist in proposals, client pitches, and presentations.
  • Work with other service lines to identify opportunities for cross-selling to existing clients and joint business development for new clients.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client engagement teams on assigned projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Master's degree and/or professional certifications (ACCA, ACA/ICAEW, CPA, ADIT) are desirable.
  • 6 - 8 years of transfer pricing experience in a professional services firm or multinational in-house TP/tax department.
  • Experience managing small to medium-sized engagements and supervising junior staff.
  • Solid exposure to OECD TP guidelines, BEPS initiatives and relevant Cypriot/EU frameworks.
  • Strong technical knowledge of transfer pricing methodologies, benchmarking and economic modelling.
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to review and challenge complex TP analyses.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, able to explain complex matters to clients and team members.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor team members.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the TP market.
  • Proactive client service mindset with the ability to identify additional business opportunities.
  • Professional integrity and ethical standards, with the ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional TP challenges.
