Litigation Associate

LLPO Law Firm is seeking to expand its team of professionals by hiring a new Litigation Associate Lawyer to join its offices in Nicosia, Cyprus. As we take professionalism and integrity seriously, we are looking for a team player who is organized, hardworking and able to work well under pressure. The selected associate will be expected to work alone or as part of a team, dealing with a variety of corporate and commercial litigation matters, as well as out-of-court mediation and negotiation, interviewing clients, drafting formal complaints or claims, conducting depositions, and drafting motions.

Job Requirements:

• Mandatory to hold a Cyprus Bar Association qualification as provided by the Advocates Law Cap.2;
• 6 years (post qualification) previous experience in Civil Procedure and Litigation;
• Good command of the English language;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing;
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail;
• Outstanding negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in ongoing communication with clients throughout the litigation process, ensuring they are well-informed about case status and any new developments;
• Conduct in-depth legal research on issues associated with cases, staying abreast of relevant laws and regulations;
• Interview witnesses, gather evidence, and consult with experts to construct a robust case strategy in support of the client's interests;
• Prepare concise and compelling legal briefs, reports, and pleadings for submission to clients and/or the court;
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to reach favorable settlement agreements, demonstrating strong negotiation skills;
• Present cases in court by articulating facts persuasively and citing applicable laws to advocate for the client's position;
• Draft comprehensive Settlement Agreements when applicable, ensuring clarity and accuracy in outlining agreed-upon terms.
