EPAM is looking for a
Lead Frontend Developer
to join our team in Nicosia, working with one of our clients in the insurance industry in a flexible hybrid setup. In this role, you'll contribute to building and enhancing modern web applications, primarily using Angular, TypeScript and related technologies. You'll collaborate closely with backend engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that improve user experiences and drive business value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop from scratch web applications using Angular, TypeScript and Nx
  • Implement reactive programming patterns with RxJS
  • Collaborate with backend developers working on .NET, Azure and CosmosDB (backend knowledge not required)
  • Engage with team members to refine requirements and deliver robust, scalable solutions
  • Drive code quality and maintainability through code reviews, automated testing and adherence to best engineering practices
  • Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, performance and consistency across applications
  • Partner with UX/UI designers and product owners to translate complex business requirements into intuitive, high-performing user interfaces

Requirements

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in frontend development with a strong focus on Angular and TypeScript
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading frontend teams and mentoring developers
  • Track record of architecting and launching web applications from the ground up, with expertise in project setup and tooling
  • Advanced proficiency in Angular (v12+) and Nx monorepo tools for scalable application development
  • In-depth knowledge of state management (e.g., NgRx), RxJS and modern frontend architecture and design patterns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English (B2 level or higher)
