PRIORITY, one of the largest and fastest growing Management and IT consulting firms in Greece, is currently seeking an experienced Senior ESG & Climate Strategy Consultant to support a large financial institution in Cyprus in delivering a high-impact ESG transformation project. The role involves leading technical workstreams related to CSRD compliance, EU Taxonomy alignment, Net-Zero strategy development, and EBA ESG risk management.

The consultant will work closely with internal sustainability, risk, and strategy teams to design frameworks, develop climate-related methodologies, and deliver regulatory-driven ESG deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the completion of EU Taxonomy Annexes VI & XII and ensure alignment with CSRD requirements.
  • Develop and enhance the Bank's Net-Zero Strategy, incorporating 2050 and 2030 interim targets, aligned with the Paris Agreement.
  • Design climate-related sectoral roadmaps for priority sectors (Power, Oil & Gas, Concrete, Iron & Steel).
  • Define portfolio-level transition KPIs and methodologies consistent with EBA/GL/2025/01 ESG risk guidelines.
  • Develop a comprehensive Transition Plan and actionable implementation schedule.
  • Conduct Business Environment Assessment, scenario analysis, and integration into medium- and long-term strategic planning.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and project deliverables for executive-level stakeholders.

Work Arrangement:

  • The role is primarily remote; however, travel to Cyprus will be required for key workshops, alignment sessions, and stakeholder presentations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in ESG consulting, sustainability strategy, climate risk, or regulatory advisory.
  • Strong track record working with financial institutions or regulated industries.
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • CSRD & ESRS
    • EU Taxonomy (incl. Annexes VI & XII)
    • Net-Zero frameworks, Paris Agreement alignment
    • EBA ESG Risk Management Guidelines (EBA/GL/2025/01)
    • Climate scenario analysis methodologies (e.g., NGFS)
  • Experience developing transition plans, KPIs, and climate roadmaps.
  • Advanced analytical and reporting skills; ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous consulting experience in large-scale ESG transformation projects.
  • Experience with financial sector sustainability reporting and climate risk integration.
  • Postgraduate degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Economics, Risk Management, or related field.
