The Role:
We are seeking to recruit a passionate and self-motivated professional for the position of Supervisor in the Authorisations and Capital Markets Department, based in our Nicosia office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide advice on optimal structure to satisfy regulator's requirements and apply for license for EUR and non-EU based Investment Firms, Investment Funds, Payment and Electronic Money Institutions, Gaming Companies inter alia.
• Provide advisory services concerning the regulatory and financial aspect for acquisition/merger of investment firms.
• Provide advice as to how to expand the license, applying for a branch or a representative office, applying for a tied agent or for new licenses in EU and non-EU countries.
• Providing assistance to clients in becoming a public company and selecting the right market including preparing the relevant application.
• Providing assistance in financial and business due diligence mandates.
• Providing assistance with Valuation Reports.
• Supervise, Coach and guide junior staff to perform their best.
• Assist the Manager of the Department with work planning and prioritizing.
• Keep updated with relevant regulatory requirements so as to evolve best practices in authorization procedures.
• Any other ACM related needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Finance, Law or Business/ Economics related degrees.
• Minimum 3 year of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the financial services sector.
• CySEC Advanced Certificate and/or CySEC AML Certificate will be considered an advantage.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Word, Excel, Power-point) is a must.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English is a must.
• Other Professional Qualifications (either as a member or as a trainee), such as CIA, ACCA, CFE, CISI, CAMS, will be considered as an advantage.
• Positive attitude with a "can-do" perspective.
• Highly committed personality and willing to learn and evolve in a fast-paced environment.
• Organised, focused and diligent, in executing the tasks assigned by the Team Leaders and Managers.
• Professionalism, work ethic, self-motivated and a team player.
