We are looking for a passionate and dedicated
Economics Teacher
to join our international team and inspire students in Grades 7–11. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality Economics lessons, including preparation for the Cambridge IGCSE Economics examination. At ICan School, we value creativity, curiosity, and connection — and we are looking for a teacher who can make Economics relevant and exciting, helping students understand the world around them through economic thinking.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Economics to students in Grades 7–11 according to the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons to a range of classes
  • Assess, record, and report on students' progress and attainment
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying levels of English proficiency
  • Maintain classroom discipline in accordance with the school's policies
  • Contribute to departmental planning and the development of curriculum materials
  • Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other required school events
  • Undertake supervisory duties as required
  • Participate in professional development and training programmes
  • Maintain accurate records, including registers, assessments, and reports

Requirements:

  • Degree in Economics or a related field
  • Teaching qualification relevant to secondary education
  • Experience teaching Economics up to IGCSE level
  • High level of proficiency in English
  • International teaching experience is an advantage
  • Eligibility to work in Cyprus or willingness to obtain necessary permits
  • KYSATS approval or willingness to apply
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
