We are seeking a
hands-on and strategic leader
to join our technology leadership team as IT Operations / Cloud & Infrastructure Manager, reporting directly to the CTO.
You will be responsible for leading the redesign and implementation of our
core infrastructure
, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability across hybrid (cloud and on-premises) environments. This role requires strong expertise in virtualization (VMware), modern DevOps practices, IAM, and infrastructure automation. You will also help define and enforce operational standards, mentor junior team members, and directly contribute to the company's goal of establishing operational excellence in a fast-moving trading environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the
day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure
, including virtualized environments, hybrid cloud, networks, storage, and core trading systems. - Overhaul the
current VMware-Cloud-Bare metal based infrastructure
, ensuring performance, redundancy, disaster recovery, and modernization are achieved. - Define and implement
hybrid infrastructure strategies
(on-premises and cloud), working with DevOps and Data teams to ensure alignment. - Design and manage scalable infrastructure to support
high-frequency trading platforms
, CRMs, and internal tools. - Ensure
infrastructure security
, with a focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM), zero-trust principles, segmentation, and least privilege enforcement. - Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring.
- Lead incident response for infrastructure-related outages and ensure postmortems are documented with corrective actions.
- Work closely with the CTO and business units to support expansion, compliance, and resilience goals.
- Define SLAs, operational KPIs, and capacity planning methodologies.
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and hardware suppliers.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 7+ years
of experience in IT infrastructure/operations, with
3+ years in a leadership or management role
. - Deep hands-on knowledge and administration experience with
VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN
. - Proven ability to operate
hybrid environments
, integrating
cloud services
(preferably AWS, AliCloud, or Azure) with
on-prem
infrastructure. - Strong understanding of
DevOps principles
, CI/CD workflows, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience with
trading systems
(MetaTrader 4/5 or similar), low-latency infrastructure, and financial systems is highly desirable. - Solid grasp of
networking concepts
, including DNS, firewalls, load balancing, VPNs, and routing. - Demonstrated expertise in
IAM best practices
, privileged access management, RBAC, and federated identity solutions. - Experience in implementing or supporting
resiliency and DR strategies
for mission-critical systems. - Ability to thrive in
high-pressure, rapidly changing environments
. - Strong leadership, communication, and vendor negotiation skills.
Preferred Certifications (Optional but Advantageous):
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- ITIL Foundation
- CISSP/CISM or equivalent (security knowledge is a plus)
