European University Cyprus invites applications from candidates with a strong research record, as the University continues to strengthen its international standing. Having been included, in the last consecutive years, in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, the University aims to further enhance and retain its presence among the Top Universities worldwide.  Successful candidates will benefit from a significant reduction in teaching load from the first year of their appointment. The extent of the reduction will depend on the quantity and quality of their Scopus-indexed publications over the past five (5) years.

The School of Humanities, Social and Education Sciences, Department of Education Sciences, seeks to recruit qualified academics in the following disciplines:

  • Special & Inclusive Education (Lecturer or Assistant Professor)
  • Lifelong Learning and Human Resources Development (Any Rank)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • As described in the University's Charter by Laws

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

  • Doctorate degree (PhD holder in the relevant field)
  • Strong Background in Education Sciences
  • Expertise in disability policies and practices
  • Expertise in Pedagogies of Inclusive Education
  • Experience in the education of children with disabilities and/or special education needs
  • Digital Competences
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Student Oriented
  • Global mindset
  • Innovative
  • Team Worker
  • Emotionally Intelligent

Former Teaching and Research Experience:

  • For the rank of Lecturer substantial proof of competence in teaching and research is required
  • For the rank of Assistant Professor at least 3 years of continuous academic and research experience in renowned academic institutions is required
  • For the rank of Associate Professor at least 8 years of continuous academic and research experience in renowned academic institutions is required
  • For the rank of Professor at least 12 years of continuous academic and research experience in renowned academic institutions is required
