The Island Private School of Limassol is a polysystemic educational hub that offers 3 programmes (International Baccalaureate, Waldorf & Montessori) under one roof. We follow a holistic approach, offering a full-day learning environment (08:00-18:00) for international students of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Starting from Pre-Primary, the educational journey at our school supports students on their learning path, tailoring education to individual needs, aspirations and connecting it to real-life experiences and up-to-date practices.
The Waldorf programme is now offered from kindergarten through primary and secondary school up to Class 8.
We are now seeking a competent, experienced and, above all, passionate Eurythmy Teacher to join our Waldorf Programme from August 2025.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Eurythmy, a deep understanding of Waldorf pedagogy, and a passion for teaching students of varying ages. As the Eurythmy Teacher, you will inspire students of all ages (from 3 y.o. up to Class 8) through movement and artistic expression, supporting their physical, emotional, and social development.
Responsibilities:
- To provide a balanced curriculum and maintain progress of all class members in the subject at a pace suitable to their age and development and in accordance with the School's curriculum policy.
- To plan and deliver high quality lessons in which students develop and progress.
- To uphold the safety and wellbeing of students and to inspire positive relationships and teaching practice throughout the school.
- To nurture the student's passion for learning, self-enquiry and high aspirations.
- To keep appropriate records and track students` attendance.
- To prepare reports for students in accordance with School practice and as and when required.
- To cover for absent colleagues and music teaching on occasion.
- To undertake additional teaching responsibilities and child supervision (arrival, recess and dismissal) duties as required.
- To participate in weekly colleague meetings, parent meetings, and school events in line with requirements of this role.
- To work together with the faculty colleagues - sharing observations, questions and insights - to support each other's professional and personal development.
- To maintain open and regular communication with parents, including class meetings, and individual conferences.
Qualifications:
- A Eurythmy Diploma plus Steiner Waldorf Teacher qualifications or a Pedagogical Eurythmy Diploma.
- A Bachelor degree in education is an advantage.
- At least 2 years relevant teaching experience in a Waldorf or holistic education setting.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Positive attitude to challenging situations and tasks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive school culture.
- The ability to work artistically and creatively within the educational framework.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday/08:00 - 16:00.
Recruitment process:
- Panel online interview including Waldorf Primary Coordinator, Waldorf Pre-Primary Coordinator, Waldorf College Chair and Employee Success Manager (30 minutes).
- Trial lesson (45 minutes) or record of the lesson delivered by the candidate to be provided.
- Online interview with the Head of School and Primary Principal (20 minutes).
