Who are we looking for?

Bitquery looks for DevOps engineers to support and develop internal infrastructure of our company. It consists of the databases, data pipelines, blockchain nodes, monitoring systems and standard components: docker, compose, kubernetes and many others.

The primary role of the engineer is to maintain the infrastructure on the hosted servers, identify and fix problems, and build monitoring scripts. We look for experienced engineers in the practical work with databases, data pipelines and linux based distributed systems.

Experience and skills that we expect from you:

  • 5+ years of work experience implement, troubleshooting, and supporting infrastructure software and distributed systems
  • scripting writing and modifying code experience to improve monitoring and automation
  • deep understanding of Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Helm Charts
  • experience in GitOps practices
  • TCP/IP networking knowledge, Linux architecture, p2p networks, micro-services and distributed systems
  • good at adapting to new tools, processes, and challenges

Will be a plus to have the following skills:

  • experience with cloud platforms (e. g. AWS)
  • blockchain nodes installation and configuration
  • Clickhouse database systems administration

Your responsibilities will mostly cover:

  • creation of architecture, and documentation that will lead to consistent reliability, scalability, security, and performance of the 24/7 servers
  • developing and maintaining technical infrastructure and system software components
  • enhancing processes that allow for proper testing and validation of releases that goes from development to staging to production environments
  • effectively interacting with other team members to accomplish shared projects
  • stay up to date on the latest technology in our space
