Job Description

Reporting to the Data Flow Chapter Lead, your roles and responsibilities will include: 

  • Data Infrastructure Management: Designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure, including databases, and data pipelines, to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. 
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Development: Developing and implementing ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it into a consistent format, and load it into the data ecosystem for analysis. 
  • Data Integration: Integrating data from different systems and sources, including internal databases and external APIs, to create a unified view of the organization's financial data. 
  • Data Quality and Governance: Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security by implementing data governance processes, data validation, and data cleansing procedures. 
  • Performance Optimization: Optimizing data infrastructure and processing pipelines to enhance data processing speed and overall system performance. 
  • Real-time Data Processing: Implementing real-time data processing solutions to handle streaming financial data for time-sensitive applications like trading platforms or fraud detection. 
  • Data Security and Privacy: Implementing security measures to protect sensitive financial data from unauthorized access and complying with data privacy regulations. 
  • Collaborative Work: Collaborating with product owners, business analysts, data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide them with reliable and accessible data.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of commercial experience ETL tools (experience with Apache NiFi will be considered an advantage).
  • Experience in data-related process controls.
  • Experience working with a team of developers using agile methodologies to achieve planned process deliverables.
  • A High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A passionate commitment to providing client-focused quality service.

Preferred:

  • Experience with programming languages, ideally Python
