  • a startup building a new kind of social networking and messaging mobile app focused on real-time geolocation. Think Telegram meets Tinder, but with a focus on location and communities - a tool for connecting with the people around you when you need it most.

Backed by a profitable sister company, we have the energy and agility of a startup coupled with resources of a mature organization. As we are nearing launch, we are expanding our product team, and are looking for a Mobile Frontend Engineer who's ready to share ownership of our mobile application — from architecture to performance.

This is your chance to build something from scratch that could scale to millions of users around the world.

What you'll do

  • Take ownership of the frontend of our cross-platform mobile app both for iOS and Android using React Native (with parts made using Compose Multiplatform)
  • Work in close collaboration with the Product Manager and Designer to bring the product vision to life
  • Translate UX/UI designs into smooth, responsive, and pixel-perfect mobile interfaces
  • Collaborate with the backend team to integrate APIs, WebSockets and real-time geolocation data
  • Ensure smooth cross-platform compatibility and native feel
  • Optimize app performance, animations and battery usage
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Who we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in mobile development, with at least 2 years using React Native, with Kotlin Multiplatform experience being a plus
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Kotlin
  • Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, UX/UI principles and performance optimization
  • Experience integrating REST APIs, WebSockets, and real-time data handling
  • Familiarity with MobX strongly preferred, similar state management libraries acceptable
  • Capable of working independently, mentoring others, and taking initiative on product and technical decisions
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with product, design, and engineering teams
  • Bonus points for experience working on messenger / social media apps and integrating geo location services
  • Experience in managing frontend development teams is preferred
  • Upper intermediate level of English, knowledge of Russian will be an advantage
