Job Description

  • Compile PUP Group daily, weekly, and monthly reports for both estates and mills, covering key metrics such as rainfall, crop and yield performance, OER & KER results, CPO and PK sales, and estate operations.
  • Compile PUP Group monthly FFB, CPO, and PK forecasts for senior management review.
  • Conduct budget analysis and compile the PUP Group budget preparation, based on 5 years of historical performance (crop yield, capital expenditure, estate costs, and vehicle running expenditure) before submission to senior management for discussion.
  • Update and maintain detailed records of estate HA statements by age profile and conduct analysis on replanting schedules based on field locations and yield performance.
  • Perform analysis of monthly estates and mill performance and translate the data into presentation slides for review by senior management.
  • Prepare detailed reports on CEO's visits to estates and mills, using the latest infographic formats.
  • Ensure that all estates and mills receive instructions from the CEO's office and follow up on their implementation to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO's office and estate/mill management, ensuring seamless communication of operational directives and feedback.
  • Support project management across estates and mills, ensuring that key operational projects meet timelines and risk factors are managed effectively.
  • Assist in the development of long-term strategic plans for estate and mill expansions, replanting schedules, and productivity improvements, based on trend analysis and performance forecasts.
  • Support the CEO in managing crises, such as operational disruptions, labour issues, or environmental challenges, by coordinating with relevant stakeholders and ensuring timely execution of action plans.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, including reporting on sustainability metrics and overseeing projects like reforestation, ensuring alignment with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and commodity prices (CPO & PK) to provide insights to the CEO that may impact operational strategy or financial planning.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of estate and mill costs, capital expenditure, and operational efficiency to identify areas for cost optimization and productivity improvements.
  • Prepare budget forecasts, including FFB, CPO, and PK, to guide strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Prepare reports, and presentations for CEO meetings with senior management, stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring that the CEO is fully equipped with accurate and insightful data for decision-making.
  • This position is based in Sandakan

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the palm oil industry or a related sector, with in-depth knowledge of estate and mill operations.
  • Proficient in data analysis software such as Microsoft Office and other relevant applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Malay.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate large-scale projects, especially those involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Budget preparation and trend analysis: Skilled in preparing and analysing budgets based on historical performance, and compiling reports for senior management presentations.
  • Presentation skills: Experienced in preparing compelling presentation slides, including infographics, for CEO reports and meetings.
