Purpose of Role/Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Data & Analytics Engineer to join our expanding Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and models that support efficient analytics, reporting, and informed decision-making across the organization.

This role involves close collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and key business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, optimize performance, and enhance our reporting capabilities through a well-structured semantic layer that enables consistency, scalability, and self-service analytics.

By building and maintaining a reliable data foundation, the Data & Analytics Engineer will play a critical role in empowering the business with actionable insights and reinforcing our data-driven culture.

Main Activities & Responsibilities: 

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using modern cloud technologies
• Develop and optimize data models and data warehouses to support analytics and reporting needs
• Create and maintain semantic layers that enable consistent, reusable, and business-friendly data representations across reporting tools
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring alignment with business requirements and data governance standards
• Work with dbt to implement robust transformation logic and maintain clean, modular data models
• Orchestrate data workflows using Apache Airflow and ensure timely and reliable data delivery
• Collaborate with data analysts to enhance reporting efficiency and enable self-service analytics
• Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented Python and SQL
• Implement data quality checks, validation, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure high data reliability
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the team's data architecture, tooling, and best practices
• Communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders and actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• And any other duties required by the role. 

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
• Advanced SQL skills for querying and data validation
• Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, data extraction, and API integrations
• Working knowledge of dbt and Airflow or strong willingness to learn
• Solid understanding of data warehousing
• Power BI semantic layer and reporting knowledge is a strong plus
• Experience with APIs and system integration
• Experience with implementation of data observability or governance tools (e.g., Open Metadata) is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.

• Working hours are 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday
• The role is in Limassol, Cyprus
