Role Description The Physics Maternity Teacher will provide high-quality classroom instruction in Physics to secondary students, following the English National Curriculum and relevant school policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, preparing teaching resources, assessing student progress, setting and marking homework, and providing constructive feedback to learners. The teacher will maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, support students with different learning needs, and contribute to exam preparation and reporting on academic performance. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Limassol, Cyprus, requiring close collaboration with the science department, participation in staff meetings, and communication with parents and guardians as needed.
Qualifications
• Strong subject knowledge in Physics and a solid understanding of the English National Curriculum at secondary level.
• Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) and a relevant university degree in Physics or a closely related field.
• Classroom management skills and the ability to create inclusive, engaging learning experiences for students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Experience in planning lessons, designing assessments, and using data to monitor and support student progress.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, colleagues, and families.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary school team and contribute to the wider school community.
• Comfort with using educational technology and digital tools to support teaching and learning.
• Previous experience in an international or English-medium school setting is an advantage.
