Capital.com is seeking a highly experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the company's technology strategy and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a regulated financial environment and a strong understanding of the complexities faced by CFD brokers. Key responsibilities include IT strategy, leadership, and regulatory compliance, as well as infrastructure management, digital transformation, and team leadership. The CIO will report directly to the COO and be responsible for ensuring the company's technology operations align with its regulatory obligations, business objectives, and future growth plans. The role requires a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, technical expertise, and leadership skills. The successful candidate will drive the company's technological strategy, ensure operational excellence, and innovation across all systems, and be instrumental in shaping the future of the platform.

Key responsibilities:

* IT Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-thinking IT strategy that supports business growth, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

* IT Operations & Service Management: Oversee the company's IT operations, including the management of a 24/7 operations centre and service desk to ensure continuous availability and performance of critical systems and infrastructure.

* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the highest levels of data protection and IT system integrity, meeting the requirements of financial authorities in all of our jurisdictions.

* Infrastructure Management: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable IT infrastructure and resilient networks, both on prem and cloud, to meet the demands of a 24/7 financial services environment.

* Digital Transformation & Innovation: Spearhead initiatives to modernise and innovate the company's technology stack, enhancing customer and employee experiences, improving operational efficiencies, and ensuring a competitive edge in the fintech landscape.

* Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

* Budget & Asset Management: Manage the IT budget and drive IT asset management practices, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and investments in technology that drive business value.

Key requirements:

* Experience: 10+ years of experience in senior IT leadership, ideally within a regulated financial services environment.

* Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

* Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in financial services, particularly MiFID II, GDPR, and other relevant financial regulations applicable to the European Union, UK and other jurisdictions in which we operate.

* Technical Expertise: Expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, VoIP technology, resilience, productivity tools, identity and access management, and various endpoint devices.

* Leadership: A proven track record in leading and managing diverse, geographically dispersed IT teams, with the ability to deliver complex technology projects on time and within budget.

* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Problem-Solving: Strategic and forward-thinking with robust problem-solving capabilities.
