Chief Information Officer

Chief Information Officer (CIO) role summary: Oversee IT strategy, digital transformation, and security to align with business goals and drive growth strategy in a large, complex organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• IT Strategy & Leadership: Develop a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with business goals and supports digital transformation initiatives.
• Digital Transformation & Innovation: Lead efforts to identify and adopt emerging technologies that enhance business performance and improve customer experience.
• Data Security & Compliance: Oversee the development and implementation of robust cybersecurity strategies to protect company data and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Technology Infrastructure: Ensure the company's IT infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
• Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team.
• Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Budgeting & Financial Management: Develop and manage the IT department's budget and priorities.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with other C-suite executives and departments to identify opportunities for technology-driven business improvements.
• IT Governance & Risk Management: Establish and maintain an IT governance framework to ensure that IT investments are aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership, including 5+ years in a senior management role, ideally as a CIO or similar executive position.
• Proven track record of leading successful digital transformation initiatives in a large, complex organization.
• Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, AI, IoT, and data analytics.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, compliance regulations, and data privacy standards.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage large budgets and drive cost-effective IT operations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships and large-scale IT projects.
