CFO Role at Swissmed Health:

Swissmed Health, is seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. As we stand on the cusp of significant growth, with plans to expand through mergers & acquisitions and fundraising initiatives, we require a strategic financial leader. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of financial management within the health industry and demonstrate a track record of success in guiding companies through expansion phases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy that supports the company's growth objectives, including mergers & acquisitions and fundraising.

Budget Management: Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for administration, existing projects, and proposed new sites.

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring they comply with regulatory laws and standards (i.e. IFRS)

Risk Management: Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.

Investor Reporting: Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential investors and their reporting requirements.

Compliance and Control: Ensure the company complies with all financial and legal requirements through effective control systems.

Team Leadership: Lead the finance team to ensure best practices in financial management are implemented and maintained.

Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with other C-suite executives to align the financial management with overall company strategy and operations.

Skills:

Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis: Proficient in creating and executing comprehensive financial strategies that align with company goals.

Financial and Valuation Modelling: Expertise in developing detailed financial models to evaluate business scenarios, investment opportunities, and company valuation, highlighting risks and forecasting future financial performance.

Budget Management & Cost Control: Skilled in overseeing budgeting processes, managing expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures to enhance profitability.

Cash Flow Management: Ability to manage and forecast cash flow to ensure operational liquidity and financial health.

Risk Management: Competent in identifying financial risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Knowledge of financial regulations and standards, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Must be a leading BSc/MSc graduate in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Professional Qualifications: Qualified in ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant).
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial practices and standards. Healthcare sector experience a plus.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Greek, ideally bilingual, to effectively communicate and manage financial documents and presentations in both languages.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, capable of handling complex financial modelling, analysis, and creating impactful presentations.
  • Independent Work Ethic: Must be a self-starter and independent worker, able to manage tasks and projects without constant supervision while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
