Senior Backend Developer Opportunity with Competitive Salary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our exceptional team at Emerald Zebra, based in Limassol, Cyprus. About the JobThis Senior Backend Developer role requires 3-4 years of experience writing objected-oriented code in Java using the Spring/Spring Boot framework (Kotlin is a plus). You will be responsible for building a backend service with Spring and deploying it to production. Your code should be well-structured, readable, and adhere to best design patterns and exception handling principles. You must be able to test your code appropriately, including unit tests with Mockito, integration/end-to-end tests, and Spring Boot Tests. Additionally, you should have observability experience and be able to identify and analyze issues in design/code.
A strong communicator, highly dependable, and enjoy working within a diverse team, you will participate in design and code reviews, conduct thorough testing of feature functionalities, manage small projects, and work efficiently with peers to solve complex problems. You will also raise appropriate issues to the team lead.
Requirements- Demonstrable experience (3-4 years) writing objected-oriented code in Java using the Spring/Spring Boot framework (Kotlin is a plus)
- Experience in building a backend service with Spring and deploying to production
- A well-structured and readable code that fits into existing frameworks, adheres to best design patterns, and has good exception handling
- Able to test code appropriately (UnitTest with Mockito, familiar with concept of integration / endToEnd tests and Spring Boot Tests)
- Observability experience / looking after a system in Production
- Passionate about being up-to-date with the latest development of technologies, and are interested in finding ways to apply them
- Solid reasoning for your design choices, and always consider alternatives
- Able to identify and analyse issues in design/code, and are starting to debug others code
- Strong communicator, highly dependable and enjoy working within a diverse team
