Compliance / Anti-Money Laundering Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to develop their career in regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), and financial crime prevention. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a high-caliber candidate to develop their skills in AML/KYC, Sanctions Adherence, and risk management.
The Compliance/AML Associate will support the Head of Compliance and MLRO in ensuring the firm's full adherence to regulatory compliance, AML/KYC, Sanctions Adherence, and financial crime prevention. You will report directly to the Head of Compliance and MLRO.
Your Responsibilities:- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of regulatory compliance policies in compliance with CySEC regulations.
- Conduct due diligence on new and existing clients, including KYC reviews and detailed screenings for adverse media, sanctions, PEPs, etc.
- Support in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports.
- Respond to regulatory inquiries and perform internal compliance assessments and monitoring.
- Conduct ongoing transaction monitoring to detect and report suspicious activities using the firm's systems.
- Bachelor's degree in business studies, law, economics, finance, or any related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, AML/KYC, Sanctions Adherence, and financial crime prevention within a licensed investment firm, financial institution, or Big 4 consultancy.
- Proven knowledge of financial instruments and products offered by investment firms/institutions.
- Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework, especially the EU AML Legislation package, KYC/due diligence requirements, sanctions adherence, and financial crime prevention.
- CySEC Advanced level or AML certification holder is an advantage.
- Fluent English is a must; Greek and/or Russian is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with confidence to approach people at all levels of seniority.
