Emerald Zebra Recruitment is seeking a skilled Global Network Infrastructure Specialist to join their team in Larnaca, Cyprus. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading hosting provider, offering IT Support to a large portfolio of clients around the world.
Job OverviewThis role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our global network infrastructure from our office in Larnaca. As part of our successful growth, we are hiring a Global Network Infrastructure Specialist to take on key responsibilities such as monitoring network performance, performing regular maintenance tasks, and implementing network security measures.
About the JobWe offer a competitive salary of €35,000 - €45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a 13th salary, annual performance bonus, half-day off on your birthday, opportunity for further education, professional development, and certifications, and after probation period, remote work once a week.
Your Responsibilities- Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups
- Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures
- Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, latency, and outages
- Respond to and resolve customer support tickets related to network problems
- Collaborate with other IT teams, including system administrators and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the network
- Configure and deploy network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Manage IP address allocation, DNS settings, and other network configurations
- Implement network changes in accordance with change management policies
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures
- Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and trends
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for recurring issues
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for network hardware and software support
- Network Administration and Network Engineering skills
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting abilities
- Strong understanding of Network Security
- Experience in managing and maintaining network infrastructure
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols, vLANs, TCP/IP, Port channels, vPC, fibre connections, WAN/LAN
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+ are a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
