We're now seeking an experienced
Backend Developer

to join our engineering team and help shape the core systems that power our emotion analytics platform. You'll design and scale services that enable our global clients to access playtests and neuro-behavioral insights.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using
    Python (3.8+)

,
FastAPI

, and
Django REST Framework (DRF)

.
- Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and migrations using
SQLAlchemy

and
PostgreSQL

.
- Architect and implement integrations with cloud platforms—preferably
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

—to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Build event-driven systems and background jobs with
Celery

,
Redis

, and message queues.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with
PyTest

unit and integration test coverage.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Frontend, DevOps, Product, and Data Science teams to deliver new features end-to-end.
- Contribute to system observability and performance tuning through monitoring, profiling, and logging best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning—helping drive technical excellence across the stack.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of commercial backend software development experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with
    Python

in production environments.
- Strong proficiency with
FastAPI

and/or
Django REST Framework (DRF)

.
- Deep understanding of
SQLAlchemy

,
PostgreSQL

, and relational database design.
- Experience building and deploying services on
GCP

(or AWS/Azure equivalents).
- Understanding of
distributed systems

and
event-based architectures

.
- Skilled in writing automated tests with
PyTest

and applying CI/CD best practices.
- Solid experience using
Docker

to build and run containerized applications.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    ClickHouse

(column-oriented analytics database).
- Familiarity with
Celery

for task orchestration and background jobs.
- Experience with
Redis

for caching or message brokering.
- Exposure to
Kubernetes (K8s)

for container orchestration.
- Knowledge of
