Cronje & Yiannas Actuaries and Consultants Ltd, on behalf of an independent international communications agency, is seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join its award-winning team in Nicosia.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborating closely with web designers to translate creative concepts into functional solutions
• Supporting technical leads in defining and implementing directions for technology use
• Providing ongoing website support, updates, and maintenance
• Collaborating with project managers and senior web developers to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction
• Converting design and user interface (UI) mock-ups into functional, dynamic websites powered by WordPress CMS
• Proactively ensuring that all technical solutions are well-architected, scalable, and properly documented
• Safeguarding HTML/CSS is cross-browser compatible, standards-compliant, and meets accessibility requirements
• Integrating websites with existing or third-party applications, APIs, and open-source platforms
• Developing, customising, and maintaining WordPress websites

Requirements

Education & Professional Background

o
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

o

At least 3 years of professional experience in
WordPress development in agile,
team-oriented environments

Technical Skills

o   Strong knowledge of WordPress core functionality, themes, plugins, and architecture

o   Hands-on experience with database-driven applications, APIs, and third-party integrations (REST API and Laravel are a plus)

o   Skilled in converting Figma and XD designs into responsive, production-ready websites using HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with knowledge of the MVC approach

o   Solid understanding of WooCommerce and custom e-commerce solutions

o   Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) is an advantage

o   Good knowledge of UX/UI best practices

Optimisation & Best Practices

o   Skilled in optimising websites for speed, SEO, accessibility, and overall performance, while ensuring robust security best practices

o   Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues across WordPress, hosting environments, and integrations

Soft Skills & Personal Qualities

o   Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and product managers

o   A problem-solving mindset with a proactive and agile attitude

o   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

o   Highly organised, with excellent time-management abilities

o   Curious, energetic, and self-motivated to stay ahead of emerging web technologies

o   Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Greek languages

Remuneration

An attractive and competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, based on qualifications and relevant experience, including:

• Annual gross salary up to €35,000 (payable in 13 instalments)
