Summary

A leading international organization operating in a highly secure and fast-paced industry is seeking an accomplished Chief Information Officer (CIO) to define and deliver its technology vision. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving digital transformation, strengthening cybersecurity, and optimizing IT operations to support global growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's IT strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Lead digital transformation and innovation initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data governance across multiple sites.
  • Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data security and compliance.
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire a high-performing IT team committed to continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage technology partners and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and recommend strategic adoption to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure full compliance with EU and Cyprus regulations on data protection and cybersecurity.

Key Requirements

  • 10–15 years of progressive experience including IT leadership (CIO, IT Director, or equivalent).
  • Proven success leading digital transformation and managing complex, multi-site IT environments.
  • Strong expertise in IT strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure optimization, and data management.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, vendor management, and enterprise technology projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of GDPR, EU data protection laws, and IT compliance frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; master's preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CITM, or PMP are highly valued.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English; Greek an advantage.
