As a Software Test Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions through testing and validation processes, collaborating with global teams and customers in a cloud-native environment.

What will your job look like?

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and fellow testers to align testing efforts with business and customer needs.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure software reliability.
  • Translate business requirements into test specifications and validation tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test results, processes, and testing decisions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and peers.
  • Implement security best practices in testing to protect data and systems.
  • Stay updated with emerging testing trends and incorporate them into testing practices.
  • Act as a key technical stakeholder from concept to deployment, driving cross-functional collaboration.

All you need is...

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in software testing with expertise in testing methodologies and tools.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Strong ability to identify and document defects, ensuring software quality.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for stakeholder collaboration.

Tech Stack & Requirements

  • Strong knowledge in Java for test automation.
  • Experience in Linux-based operating systems.
  • Experience in REST APIs and distributed system testing.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium, REST assured and TestNG.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Azure - Advantage.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of JIRA for issue tracking and project management.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra)- Advantage.
  • Understanding of high availability principles.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices to automate and streamline testing processes.
