Position: Crew Training Administrator

Why we need you: You'll play a key role in supporting our culinary training programs, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between crew members and culinary training consultants. Your efforts will help enhance the learning experience for maritime professionals worldwide.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Assisting the Culinary Training Supervisor and Culinary Training Consultant in the administrative preparation of online courses.
  • Maintaining effective communication with manning agents and principals regarding crew trainees joining or disembarking vessels.
  • Keeping crewing agents and principals informed about crew participants' progress in online training and tracking new joiners and disembarkations.
  • Reporting any challenges or issues encountered during training to the Culinary Training Supervisor.
  • Ensuring open and clear communication channels with vessel personnel, crewing agents, and principals.
  • Keeping training records up to date, implementing an efficient filing system, and generating data analyses and reports for performance evaluation.
  • Arranging briefing and debriefing meetings between the operations team and crew members.
  • Creating and managing template documents, reports, and newsletters, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Following up with vessels to ensure assessments are completed by participants in a timely manner.
  • Planning and coordinating the schedule of Culinary Training Consultants for vessel visits and on-site training sessions abroad.
  • Other duties as assigned.


You need these qualifications and attributes:

  • College or university graduate. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office and general computer literacy.
  • Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal). 
  • Strong communication skills and a team player mindset.
  • Passion for the maritime industry. 

It would be nice if:

  • You have experience in a similar position within the maritime industry.
  • You have experience or education in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, Food Technology, or Maritime Studies.
