The Role:

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for streamlining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices, optimizing IT operations, and driving improvements across the full DevOps lifecycle. The DevOps Engineer will provide support and champion DevOps practices across the organization. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT and Development, to ensure infrastructure and deployments are secure, efficient, reliable, and scalable. Key responsibilities include implementing infrastructure as code, enhancing monitoring and alerting, and fostering a culture of collaborative incident management and continuous improvement. The DevOps Engineer will support both internal systems and client-facing platforms, playing a critical role in the stability and scalability of our technology operations.


How You Can Make a Difference:

  • Design, develop and maintain CI/CD workflows using modern tools for seamless development and deployment.
  • Manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Azure.
  • Establish and maintain release management processes to ensure smooth and controlled software releases.
  • Implement version control systems (e.g., Git) and develop strategies for managing code branches, merging, and code reviews.
  • Coordinate with development teams to define release schedules and manage dependencies.
  • Work with the security team to implement secure development practices to mitigate security risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Configure and manage monitoring systems such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, ELK stack etc.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between development teams, operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure alignment with DevOps best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Resolve complex performance and infrastructure issues, participate in incident management, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Continually explore and identify opportunities for automating day-to-day tasks and processes which can improve efficiency, reduce human error, and free up time for more strategic and value-added activities.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or technical certifications
  • 2+ years' experience in a DevOps Engineer role
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work closely with a team
  • Organizational, time management and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail


Skills and Competencies:

  • Cloud Expertise:
    Hands-on experience with AWS, designing and operating cloud-native infrastructure
  • Kubernetes & EKS:
    Proven experience managing workloads on Amazon EKS, including upgrades, networking, and security
  • Containerization & Orchestration:
    Background with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and ArgoCD for deployments and GitOps workflows
  • Monitoring & Logging:
    Experience with Prometheus/Grafana and ELK Stack for observability and troubleshooting
  • Infrastructure as Code:
    Experience with Terraform to define and manage AWS infrastructure (secondary to AWS/EKS)
  • Automation & Scripting:
    Proficiency in Python, Shell, or PowerShell to automate operational tasks
  • Systems Administration:
    Skilled in managing Linux and Windows distributed systems at scale
