Accountant

As the Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing valuable insights through financial analysis. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in financial software (such as Sage and Xero), and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

•
Financial Data Management:
Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

Transaction Processing:
Process financial transactions, including invoices, expense reports, purchase orders, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Bookkeeping & Tax Compliance:
Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping operations, VAT filings, corporate tax submissions, and payroll processes to ensure compliance with local regulatory standards.

Group-wide Supervision:
Oversee bookkeeping activities across all entities, ensuring accurate and timely posting of all financial transactions and consistency of reporting practices.

Treasury & Reconciliation Collaboration:
Work closely with treasury and reconciliation teams to align accounting processes, reporting timelines, and financial controls.

•
Audit Coordination:
Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely submission of supporting documents and addressing audit queries.

•
Internal Controls:
Support the maintenance and adherence to robust internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

•
System Enhancement:
Assist in the maintenance and continuous enhancement of accounting systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.

•
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering relevant financial data, identifying trends, and working with other departments to create accurate financial projections.

Financial Analysis:
Analyze financial data and generate reports that provide valuable insights into the company's financial performance, variances, and key metrics. Present findings to management for informed decision-making.

Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations and guidelines, assisting in the preparation of financial documents for audits and regulatory reporting.

Process Improvement:
Continuously identify opportunities for process enhancement within the finance function and contribute to the implementation of best practices.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with other departments, including accounting, operations, and management, to collect relevant financial information and support the achievement of overall business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in financial software, such as Sage, Xero, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
