Professional and Academic Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of post-qualification experience in contentious litigation cases and Court practice;
• LLB (Bachelor of Laws) with a minimum grade of 2.1 (upper second) or equivalent;
• LL.M.(Master of Laws) or Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) or Legal Practice Course (LPC) will be considered an advantage;
• Cyprus Bar Association License;
• ADR or other professional certificates or qualifications will be considered an advantage;
• Fluent knowledge of Greek and English, both written and oral;
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite;

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules;
• Wide experience in diverse contentious cases and matters;

• Strong ability to negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) outcomes
• Take responsibility for own actions and initiatives;

• Strong communication skills to manage client expectations, ensure satisfaction and build long-term client relationships;

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Handle, oversee and manage a portfolio of complex, high-value or significant litigation cases;
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials and ADR procedures;
• Prepare and review pleadings and other court documents prepared by junior litigation team members to ensure quality and accuracy;
• Prepare and review legal opinions;
• Act as the focal point of contact, especially for key litigation clients;
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients;
• Train, mentor and develop junior members of the litigation team;
• Allocate and oversee the distribution of litigation cases;
• Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the Firm's litigation department;
• Represent the Firm at professional and promotional events, conferences and networking activities;
• Contribute to the shaping, improvement and implementation of the Firm's overall business plan and strategy, its policies and procedures;
• The seniority of the position will be determined in the course of the employment according to the Firm's defined career path, following an assessment of the candidate's experience, knowledge, competencies, and abilities.
