Role Description

, we are looking for
R&D Scientists

(entry, mid or senior level) to drive the company's efforts in developing state-of-the-art biotechnology solutions. The R&D Scientists will primarily work on
advancing our flagship DNA construction technology

, while also engaging with industrial partners on exciting R&D projects in sectors such as food-tech, industrial bioproduction, diagnostics, bioremediation and personal care.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design and execute experimental protocols; analyze data and prepare technical reports
  • Conduct technological and scientific literature reviews
  • Contribute to science communication and dissemination activities
  • Collaborate effectively with project partners
  • Support general R&D laboratory operations

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Research And Development Scientist (Biotechnology) located in Nicosia.

Candidate Profile Requirements

  • BSc degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, Food Science, or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (or Google Suite) and strong general computer skills
  • Excellent spoken and written knowledge of English
  • Strong attention to detail in experimental work, data recording, and reporting
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving mindset and commitment to excellence
  • Strong team spirit and ability to collaborate effectively with project partners

Additional Preferences

  • MSc / MRes / PhD in Synthetic Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
  • Experience in R&D project management (e.g., Horizon Europe or Cyprus RIF projects).
  • Hands-on experience in molecular biology and synthetic biology techniques (eg. Molecular cloning and DNA assembly, Recombinant protein production, High-throughput microplate assays and/or lab automation platforms) and microbiology
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment and familiarity with start-up culture
