Our client, a well-known group of companies who offer services across five inter-connected industries: Maritime, Business, Travel, Property and Environment, is looking to hire under their
Oil & Gas umbrella a Document Controller and Junior Field Engineer (on site).
Position Overview:
The Document Controller & Junior Field Engineer (On-Site) supports the operation team by maintaining all project and general company documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical assistance in the field. This role bridges office and site activities, ensuring the smooth coordination of document control processes and field engineering operations to support efficient and safe project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Control Duties:
Act as the gatekeeper for all project documentation (Technical Queries, Transmittals, RFI, Drawings), ensuring 100% traceability in SharePoint.
Register, update, and maintain all project and company documents using company-approved Document Management Systems, ensuring all records are accurately uploaded and organized in SharePoint. Maintain well-structured filing systems for both electronic and hard-copy documentation to ensure easy retrieval, traceability, and compliance with company standards.
Ensure proper document numbering, revision control, and traceability according to company and client standards.
Coordinate document submissions, reviews, and approvals between project, vendor, and client teams. Interface directly with vendors to ensure submission quality meets Project Specifications before passing to Engineering for review.
Prepare document transmittals, data books, and final handover dossiers for project closeout.
Maintain filing systems (digital/hard copy) in a state of "audit readiness" at all times, reducing lead time for client reporting.
English and Greek fluency
Junior Field On-Site Engineer Duties:
Assist in field engineering activities, including inspections and on-site supervision.
Monitor site progress, verify as-built conditions, and ensure compliance with design specifications and HSE standards.
Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports and work permits.
Provide engineering support to operations and maintenance teams to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable performance of equipment and systems.
Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and quality inspectors to resolve technical and documentation issues on site.
Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety meetings.
Act as a supporting Area Authority for the Permit to Work system, ensuring all personnel adhere to RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement).
