Noteris Services Limited on behalf of IronFX is seeking an individual to assume the role of
Engineering Manager.

Location:
Limassol and/or Nicosia

Job Description:

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring a positive work environment.
• Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and develop growth plans for direct reports.
• Facilitate hiring, training, and other personnel actions for the team.
• identify key system components, interfaces, and dependencies and prepare high level overview / documentation
• Participate in designing scalable systems and provide inputs to handle scalability, data volume, concurrency and system bottlenecks.
• Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Implement and maintain robust testing processes to ensure the reliability and scalability of the services and the applications.
• Set up best practices for development and champion their adoption.
• Closely work with team to ensure timely, bug-free releases
• Create RCA documentation and prevent the issues in future
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand the product roadmap and plan the resources.
• Strong experience with Build and Release, Agile processes, and Estimation/Planning
• Set up best practices and identify areas of continuous improvement of the product development life cycle.
• Should be able to manage the resources including creating POD charters for reutilizing the resources efficiently to improve the velocity and stability of the deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the deliverables.
• Managing the engineering team and taking care of their performance evaluations.
• Perform regular 1:1 meetings and share & seek feedback
• Work on measures to optimize team productivity and engineers' professional development

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams, preferably in a fast-paced software development or Financial services environment.
• Strong background in software development, architecture, and scalable system design.
• Proficiency in code review, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of testing processes, automated testing frameworks, and QA best practices.
• Hands-on experience with build and release processes, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, sprint planning, estimation, and backlog management.
• Experience with documentation of system architecture, high-level overviews, and RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
• Proven ability to mentor, guide, and support engineers, fostering professional growth and team engagement.
• Experience in conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and developing growth plans for team members.
• Skilled in facilitating hiring, training, and other personnel actions for engineering teams.
• Strong ability to manage resources efficiently, including creating POD charters and optimizing team productivity.
