Chief Accountant

On behalf of our client, a leading financial services consultancy, we are seeking to recruit a Chief Accountant to be based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Role Responsibilities:

• Managing all finance and accounting operations.
• Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• In charge of the accounting team, ensuring prompt and efficient posting of transactions in all Group Companies.
• Preparation of management reports at each company level and at Group level.
• Preparation of monthly package with specific profitability/cashflow/etc. reports.
• Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Team Manager, comfortable leading a small to medium team. Understand team dynamics and previous experience of supporting team development.
• Consolidation of results of all Group Companies.
• Responsible for validity of data entry into the accounting system.
• Liaising with the external auditors and assisting in the smooth and timely preparation of the Audited Financial Statements.
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Requirements:

• ACCA, ACA or other equivalent qualifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance or in any other related discipline will be considered an advantage.
• At least 5 years of proven working experience as a Chief Accountant / Manager Level.
• Organisational and time management skills.
• Multitasking individual with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent command of the English and Greek languages, both verbal and written.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
