Accounts Assistant

Cronje & Yiannas Actuaries and Consultants Ltd., on behalf of a leading company, specialising in the provision of high-quality administrative, accounting, and corporate services to local and international clients, seeks to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its professional team in Nicosia.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Accountant.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating accounting records in accordance with IFRSs and Cyprus legislation
  • Preparing annual financial statements using CaseWare
  • Assisting in the preparation of periodic management accounts and reports as requested
  • Providing timely support to ad hoc requests from the Chief Accountant, including on-demand analysis and financial outputs
  • Liaising with auditors and other external stakeholders as required
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual tax computations and quarterly VAT returns

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • High attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Responsible for handling and maintenance of work-related materials and equipment
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Fluency in Greek will be considered an advantage

Remuneration

An attractive and competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, based on qualifications and relevant experience, including:
