We are seeking a Merchant Settlements Officer to ensure smooth financial transactions with merchants. Your role involves reconciling accounts, resolving issues, and building strong relationships. Ideal candidates will have fintech expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to accuracy. ‍

Responsibilities
  • Process daily settlements and reconcile merchant transactions.
  • Monitor merchant accounts for discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with the finance team and payment processors to ensure timely fund transfers.
  • Generate settlement reports and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Respond to client querries and investigate and resolve any settlement-related inquiries or disputes from merchants.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize settlement processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct due dilligence for the accuracy and correctness of the accounts provided by the client to ensure the safety of the client's funds.
  • Maintain and update records on rolling reserves and oustanding balances.
Requirements
  • Bachelor&ss degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage50 is considered an advantage).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience in merchant settlements or financial operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of payment processing systems and banking procedures is a plus.
