Compliance and Auditing Officer to
join our team.

The Compliance and Auditing Officer is responsible for performing compliance risk assessment and maintaining the monitoring program under different jurisdictions. The role also involves carrying out internal investigations, reviewing current procedures, and recommending appropriate actions to strengthen operational integrity and compliance. In addition, this officer performs analysis and research on various industry-related matters, preparing essential reports and providing advice on regulatory matters.

This position reports directly to the Head of Compliance and provides regular updates on investigations, analysis findings, and remedial actions. The Officer will also prepare gap analyses, construct mitigating action plans, and advise on regulatory related matters.

Your role at HFM:

  • Performing compliance risk assessment and maintaining the monitoring program under different jurisdictions.
  • Performing analysis and research on various industry-related matters.
  • Preparing gap analysis and constructing mitigating action plans.
  • Preparing reports based on the analysis performed and advising/recommending on regulatory related matters.
  • Carrying out internal investigations, and recommending appropriate actions to strengthen operational integrity and compliance.
  • Lead investigations into misconduct, fraud, policy breaches or operational failures.
  • Investigate current procedures and work with other departments to take remedial action.
  • Write clear investigation reports with conclusions and recommendations and provide regular updates to the Head of Compliance.
  • Assist with investigations during inspections, ensuring the organization responds effectively.
  • Maintain case records and always ensure confidentiality,

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Industry experience in a compliance role of a multi-regulated investment firm.
  • 3-4 years' experience in investigations, compliance and internal audit.
  • Strong investigation, interviewing, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to review procedures, identify wrongdoing patterns, and recommend improvements.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with discretion on sensitive matters.
  • Confidence to present findings and recommendations directly to senior management.
