Cronje & Yiannas Actuaries and Consultants Ltd, on behalf of a leading and fast-growing Digital Transformation Consulting Company, is seeking skilled Quality Assurance Engineers to be seconded to a major banking institution in Nicosia.

Following the completion of the secondment, the successful candidates will continue as full-time members of the consulting company, contributing to ongoing digital transformation projects for its diverse portfolio of clients.

The successful candidates will design and execute and automate test cases across web applications, APIs, and backend services, ensuring banking-grade quality, security, and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for analytical, detail-oriented professionals who succeed in a dynamic financial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and driving test strategy and release planning across the feature lifecycle, applying shift-left and risk-based testing approaches
  • Collaborating with Product, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure traceability from requirements to tests
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites (UI, API, integration, regression) within the CI/CD pipeline
  • Creating well-structured test cases and precise acceptance criteria
  • Testing REST/GraphQL APIs (functional, contract, and negative scenarios) and validating payloads and data integrity
  • Performing exploratory testing to identify edge cases, logical gaps, and usability concerns
  • Contributing to performance, reliability, and basic security testing (e.g., auth flows, role-based access, injection basics)
  • Managing test data and environments and ensuring reproducibility and isolation
  • Reporting test results and quality metrics and advocating for quality in planning and release decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional QA experience within a software product or engineering team
  • Banking Domain Experience (Preferred)
  • Testing experience in fintech or banking systems, or a strong understanding of financial product workflows
  • Knowledge of KYC/AML, onboarding flows, payments/settlements, and maker-checker controls
  • Awareness of compliance and standards (PCI DSS basics, GDPR, ISO 27001)
  • Exposure to ISO 20022 / SWIFT / SEPA, core banking integrations, or branch/teller operations will be considered a plus
  • Strong API testing experience (e.g., Postman/Insomnia, Newman, REST Assured, Pact for contract testing)
  • Proficiency in SQL for test data setup and backend validation
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of modern testing techniques and quality principles
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, message queues, and event-driven systems will be considered an advantage
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and spoken

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automated testing tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium/WebDriver, TestCafe)
  • Exposure to performance testing (Locust, k6, JMeter) and SLO/SLA concepts
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing (WCAG, Axe)
  • Mobile and responsive web testing experience
  • Understanding of security testing basics

Remuneration

A competitive and attractive remuneration package will be offered, based on qualifications and experience, including:
